[Sao Paulo Jiji] The South American Peruvian parliament (unicameral, 130 seats) voted on the 7th to dismiss the radical leftist President Castillo, saying he was "ethically unfit", exceeding the required two-thirds vote 101 Passed by affirmative votes.

Castillo lost his job and Vice President Boruarte took over his duties. Mr Castillo declared the parliament to be "temporarily dissolved" ahead of his vote to avoid his impeachment.
The National Police took him into custody for issuing unconstitutional orders. Political instability continues in Peru due to conflicts between political parties. Bolarte is the fifth president since Kuczynski resigned in March 2018 just before he was dismissed for corruption.
Under the Castillo administration, which was inaugurated in July 2021, four prime ministers were replaced under pressure from the center-right opposition parties, which account for the majority of the parliament.
